1991 Press Photo Bar Coding Books at Cardinal Stritch College Library,Wisconsin

Julie Stangle (left), a student assistant in the Cardinal Stritch College library, and Louise Diodato, a library employee, attach bar codes to some of the college's 112,000 volumes. The coding will enable library materials to be tracked through the Southeastern Wisconsin Information Technology Exchange, a library network involving nine regional institutions of higher learning. The coding began January 3 and is to be completed before resumption of classes today.
