Sharon Bohannon, 11, of St. Rose School, 514 N. 31st Street, kneels to plant a begonia at the Summerfest grounds Wednesday. Sharon and more than 1,000 public and parochial school children participated in Planting Day. The project, coordinated by the Mayor's Beautification Committee and Summerfest staff, aims to enhance the grounds for the upcoming festivals.
