Jefferson, Wisconsin -- Storm Damage -- Thunderstorms and winds gusting up to 70 mph battered much of southern Wisconsin early Wednesday. Winds snapped a tree and sent the top portion crashing into the roof of the Donald Yahn home in Jefferson. Thunderstorms and winds gusting up to 70 mph battered much of southern Wisconsin early Wednesday. The National Weather Service said skies should become mostly sunny Thursday with the high in the middle 70s to near 80.
