1986 Press Photo Supervisor at Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewage on Jones Island

Judy Grzegorski, safety and security supervisor of Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewage District, checked sandbags layered around manholes on Jones Island to prevent floodwaters from flowing into the treatment system. District officials are concerned that storms on Lake Michigan could cause high waves in the inner harbor, where the Milwaukee River enters Lake Michigan.
