1969 Press Photo Francis G. Powers sits in prisoner's dock, Russian court room

Francis G. Powers listened to Prosecutor Roman Rudenko's plea for a 15 year sentence, as he sat in the prisoner's dock in Moscow's Hall of Columns. The Soviet court sentenced the U-2 pilot to a term of 10 years with only the 1st three actually in prison.
