1978 Press Photo Beverly Parks, American Institutes for Research visits Waukesha

Beverly Parks of the American Institutes for Research in Palo Alto, California, was at Waukesha County Technical Institute to include its Women's Development Center in a government study. Ms. Parks is well aware of the difference in attitude and how it affects little girls as they become women. As associate project director for a vocational education equity study mandated by the federal government, she has spent the past year talking with state vocational directors, instructors, counselors and students to see how much sex discrimination and stereotyping exists in vocational education.
