Description
Test Diodes- "Sweet spot" light emitting diodes were readied for testing by technician Lori Cooper at Honeywell's Optoelectronics Division in Dallas, Texas. The plastic LEDs are used in fiber optic communication lines that link home TV sets to cable TV distribution centers, satellites to Earth-bound receivers and computers to printers. The "sweet spot" is a highly concentrated spot of light in the center of each device, projected by a spherical glass bead or lens.

Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated 08-27-1982.
