Description

Andrea Garrihy, of England, and Jean Rosset, from France, members of teams competing this week in the 1994 United States Snow Sculpting Competition, work on the base of a lion sculpted from snow in front of the Pfister Hotel. The snow beast replciates one of two bronze lions that stood in front of the hotel from 1893 to 1926. The snow-sculpting contest is being held through Saturday at the Performing Arts Center.
