Newburyport, Massachusetts--Doctor George Snell, 76, co-winner of the Nobel Prize for Medicine, holds a press conference here October 10. He shares the prize with Barul Benacorraf of the Harvard Medical School and Jean Dausset of France. The three were honored for their work centering on the genetic structure of cells and how that helps determine immunological reactions in the body. Dr. Snell works at the Jackson Laboratory Bar Harbor, Maine.
