Description
Along with politics and his Monticello mansion, Thomas Jefferson also had an affinity for gardening and farming. Thomas Jefferson walked from his boarding house-on the site of the present Longworth House Office Building- to his first inauguration. Then walked back from the Capitol to the boarding house for lunch.
