This is the time of year to be outdoor, which is what some students were doing the other day at the Wittmann property in Port Washington. The 24-acre parcel had been destined for development, but conservationists organized to buy the land for a preserve. The site was acquired for $380,000 by the Ozaukee Land Trust.
