1990 Press Photo A historic plaque on St. John Cathedral in Milwaukee

Plan tabled - The Downtown skyline rises above the St. John Cathedral complex (above), on the block bordered by E. Kilbourn Avenue, and North Jackson East Wells and North Van Buren Streets. The Historic Preservation Commission Monday voted to table the proposed historic district designation for the cathedral property for up to one year. A plaque (below) indicates the property is on the National Register of Historic Places.
