Pope Paul VI opens his arms while recording his Christmas speech to the world while seated at his desk in his private library at the Vatican. He said he hope "for a miracle of good will" on all sides to turn the Christmas truce into full-scale negotiations to end the Vietnam war. "Good will hold the key to peace," the Pontiff said. He spoke in Italian.
