1978 Press Photo Mass for deceased Pope Paul VI, St. John Cathedral, Milwaukee

With a bust of the late Pontiff gazing over the proceedings, Milwaukee Archbishop Rembert Weakland offered a special mass Friday at St. John Cathedral for Pope Paul VI. The mass was attended by more than 1,000 people from the 10 county Milwaukee Archdiocese. Weakland, a personal friend of the late pope, said Paul would be remembered as a "pope of patience."
