When Robert Sandlass began a sports shop five years ago in an old barn, he did not realize it would grow into a full-time business that has survived during the winter, thanks to a nighttime cross country ski course. Sandlass, a teacher and coach at Kettle Moraine High School, first began the Kettle Moraine Sports shop in 1979 as a tennis and running business on the north side of I-94 and Highway 83.
