Ron Stanis posed in front of his car, which he has painted with religious phrases. Brother Ron's gray 1974 Chevy gets his story across in a few misspelled words: "I'm going to jail for preaching the goespel," it says. "Your going to Hell if I don't." Actually, Ronald Stanis faces smatterings of traffic violations and such minor charges as loitering and disorderly conduct. But Stanis claims he incurred them while "following a higher law --the law of God." Stanis, 41, is a truck driver and diesel mechanic by trade. But some 18 months ago, the South Side man turned street preacher.
