1993 Press Photo Polar Bear Club's Polar Bear Plunge swimmers in Wisconsin

Frigid fun -- Whether they were brave or foolish depends on your point of view, but a healthy number of swimmers turned out for the 12th annual Polar Bear Plunge on New Year's Day at the Channel Inn on Upper Nemahbin Lake in Delafield. An auction was part of the day's events and the frosty swimmers solicited sponsors, with proceeds going to The Ranch in Menomonee Falls.
