In the summer, the sun never sets on Mursansk, the world's largest city north of the Arctic Circle. A half century after the war, ships rest in the bottom of the river leading to the Arctic port of Murmansk, the world;s largest city north of the Arctic Circle. Allied convoys braved icy seas and risked attack by German U-boats and warplanes to keep the Russians supplied with war goods. Russia, Cities, Murmansk.
