Sister Reginaida Polk, who has been administrator, teacher, cook and bottle washer, hand holder, Janitor and whatever else was needed at the school,2628 North 3rd Street, is leaving Martin Luther King to teach in the Chicago suburb of Oak Park. Sister Reginalda has been at Martin Luther King for 10 years. January 13, 1990. A Mass of Resurrection was said Saturday in Chicago for Sister Mary Reginalda Polk, an inspirational principal who was said to have "loved the children to excellence" and who worked in Milwaukee for 10 years at the former Martin Luther King Community School. Known as Sister Reginalda, she died of cancer Wednesday at the University of Chicago Hospital. Dead.
