Martin Poll, who produced the Academy Award-winning motion picture "The Lion in Winter," is the producer of Dashiell Hammett's "The Dain Curse," a six-hour mini-series starring James Coburn as Hamilton Nash, a character who was a forerunner of the stylized literary private eye popularized in such Hammett classics as "The Maltese Falcon" and "The Thin Man." "The Dain Curse" will be broadcast in the spring of 1978 on the CBS Television Network.
