1983 Press Photo Marlan Peters, accused of murdering his estranged wife

A circuit Court judge ordered Marlan A. Peters, 46, accused in the slaying December 6th of his estranged wife, bound over for trial Thursday. Circuit Judge Michael T. Sullivan ordered Peters arraigned on charges of first-degree murder. The preliminary hearing was the first court appearance for Peters, 3734 East Grange Avenue, Cudahy, who shot himself once under the jaw after the victim was shot, according to court documents. Peters was hospitalized until December 19, when he was transferred to County Jail.
