Milwaukee's Salvation Army soldiers, from commander to private, have stationed themselves in the paths of holiday shoppers to fill charity kettles with donations to provide food, clothing, toys and other necessities for thousands of persons facing a bleak Christmas. In front of the Wisconsin Ave. Boston Store, penny Erdmann, 11, rang a bell for her mother, Mrs. Anita Erdmann, who had a sore arm. Salvation Army - Milwaukee - Wisconsin
