When he injured his hip last year, 15-year-old Tom Jiskra Jr. (left) amassed more than $24,000 in medical bills. His parents, Tom and Charlotte Jiskra, who farm in Rusk County, hope to be able to afford medical insurance in a year or so after they fix the roof on their barn.
