Micky Sadoff was not contemplating life as a public figure at the beginning of the 1980's. She was getting ready to begin a teaching career in January 1982 when a drunken driver crossed the center line of a Milwaukee street and hit a station wagon carrying Sadoff, her husband and a Bayside couple. The crash nearly killed her husband, Ron. Sadoff, 45, of Glendale, was elected national president of Mothers Against Drunk Drivers in 1988 and re-elected in October 1989.
