1982 Press Photo Kim Paap tests windsurfer of John Kosman of Milwaukee Sailing

Dry Run - Kim Paap, 15, tested out a windsurfer sail at McKinley Beach Monday under the watchful eye of John Kosman, an instructor with the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center. Students were learning how to use windsurfers, a sort of surfboard with a sail, with the help of a swivel mechanism that can simulate sailing. This is the first year the center has offered such lessons. Sports - Windsurfing
