Thomas B. Pitcher has been named controller at Philip Morris Industrial. The post had been vacant for several years. Pitcher had been director of financial administration since 1975. Pitcher joined PMI in 1971 as manager of mill accounting for Plainwell Paper Co. in Plainwell, Mich. PMI, one of six Philip Morris, Inc. operating companies, consists of nine firms in the chemical, paper, tissue and packaging industries.
