Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
Hundreds of lithops plants greeted visitors in one of the wings of the Milwaukee County Park Department Greenhouse Center, 10340 Watertown Plank Rd., Wauwatosa, at an open house and surplus plant sale last Sunday. Lithops, which are popularly named living stone plants, closely resemble small spit rocks both in shape and coloring. They grow in stemless clumps of paired leaves and are 1 to 2 inches in diameter.

Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches. Photo is dated 11-21-1982.
