1984 Press Photo Richard Houghton, curator of the Charles Allis Art Library

The new curator of the Charles Allis Art library, Richard Houghton, holds an illuminated manuscript by Kate Ball of Texas, who is now exhibiting at the library. Houghton won the medal of honor in the 1953 show of the Wisconsin Painters and Sculptors with an oil painting entitled "Venus."
