1985 Press Photo Couples Katharine & Nelson Goodman greet Jane & Lloyd Pettit

I feel like a goldfish, exclaimed Jane Pettit as she and her husband, Lloyd, made their first public appearance in Milwaukee after the announcement that they would contribute a $30 million to $40 million sports and entertainment center to the community. The occasion Thursday night was the opening of "Hockey and Art," a show of drawings by Boston artist Katharine Sturgis, at Marquette University's Haggerty Museum of Art. The exhibit, which runs through May 19, is jointly sponsored by the Museum and the Milwaukee Admirals, which the Pettits own. Pictured at Thursday's reception are (from left) Lloyd and Jane Pettit; Katharine Sturgis, and her husband, philosopher Nelson Goodman, a professor emeritus at Harvard University.
