Aviculturists Sue Rogers (left) and Lisa Hartman helped Dushenka make its first flight Friday at the International Crane Foundation in Baraboo. Dushenka, hatched at the foundation on June 4, is the first Siberian crane successfully hatched in captivity. The bird's Russian name means "little loved one."
