1989 Press Photo Pewaukee residents board buses for the trip to Madison

About 70 Town of Pewaukee residents and officials boarded two buses here Wednesday morning at the Town Hall with a mission. They planned to carry their message of obtaining city status to the State Capitol for a public hearing before a legislative committee. The town residents were led by developers, businessmen and public officials who hope to convince lawmakers to grant the town city status.
