1992 Press Photo Bryant Tarr weighs whooping crane egg near Wisconsin Dells

Weighing a rare whooping crane egg is Bryant Tarr, an aviculturist at the International Crane Foundation, which is located about 2 miles off of Highway 12 near Wisconsin Dells. Tarr said they had more eggs this year than they did last year. The whooping crane is on the endangered species list. In the background are red-crown cranes, which are used to incubate the eggs. More than 125 cranes are on display for the public.
