The killing of a Roman Catholic cardinal in an apparent shootout between drug gangs is the most shocking in an escalating series of attacks by Mexican drug traffickers. Cardinal Juan Jesus Posadas Ocampo, 66, his driver Pedro Gonzalez, and five others were caught Monday afternoon in deadly cross fire at the international airport in this city that is fast becoming a center of operations for several Mexican drug cartels.
