1983 Press Photo Anne Pellowski, A Children's Author, at Elementary School

Anne Pellowski, a children's book writer from New York City, is putting west-central Wisconsin on the map. But at the same time she is charming elementary grade-school children. Recently, she toured the area's schools, talking to classes. Now many students look up Pellowski as their very own Aunt Anne. In truth, Pellowski is an aunt to Betsy, a character in "Willow Wind Farm: Betsy's Story," a book she wrote. She is also the author of three others in a quartet of children's books which, although written in fictional style, are true tales. Author Anne Pellowski talked with youngsters at a Sparta school.
