With all the comforts of his regular office - with the obvious exception of heat - Jeff Pechura, principal of Jefferson Elementary School, 6927 Maple Terrace in Wauwatosa, goes about his regular business from his temporary quarters on the school playground. Pechura's day in the great outdoors Friday was the payoff on a friendly wager with the school PTA that raised $8,000 through snack sales to send the principal into the deep freeze.
