1991 Press Photo Couple dance to polka music at Polish Fest, Maier Festival Park

John Witkowiak finds Polish Fest a great place to kick up his heels as he twirls Elizabeth Michalski to the polka music provided by Accordions International. The first of the ethnic festivals opened Friday at Maier Festival park and Continues through Sunday. Summerfest workers (right) distribute bottle water ot people attending Seniorfest at the park. Test this week found high level of bacterial in water in seven sites at the grounds, but test Wednesday found no bacteria. If the Milwaukee Health Department approves the piped water, regular water service could resume Saturday. Otherwise, bottled water will be available.
