Description
The sale of the House of Correction to the army is being considered by county officials. The federal government would use the workhouse for army prisoners. Because of few inmates now many facilities are not being used. This is the dining room, which shows 175 places set out of the 300 seats. There are 191 inmates, but some eat at the workhouse farm.

Photo is dated 1945.

Photo measures 11.25 x 8.75 inches.
