1985 Press Photo Alderman McGee complains about inner city snowplowing efforts

Clearing Problem - While other areas of the city may have had clean, snow-free streets, Alderman Michael McGee thought things were not the same in the Inner City. So McGee, a harsh critic of snowplowing efforts, took city plowing supervisors on a tour of his district to show them the amount of snow left on the streets. On North 26th Street, south of Burleigh, snow was still piled along the side of the street where cars must park and other streets still held snowbound cars.
