The wrought iron gates leading to the federal style Petri home in Georgetown, a posh Washington neighborhood, are hung with welcome banners for the couple's post inaugural party. After clearing out unwanted creatures from the 18th century house, the Fond du Lac Republican and his wife spent 18 months renovating it.
