Friday was clearly "we love you" night for Jeannette Robinson. Those who don't know her nine year history of offering black youth an alternative to prisons, joblessness or suspensions from school weren't there. But those who do know the effect her Career Youth Development Program has had on Inner City youth filled Holiday Inn Central ballroom well past overflowing to pay her tribute. The crowd was impressive, ranging from youths themselves, their parents, friends and top black politicians to the very judges and correctional officers.
