Cistercian Priests and Monks. From Wine, Liquor and Beer World's Fair Hotel Sherman, Chicago, Illinois. An old world scene in Chicago. Brother Theodosius and Brother Alfredus, two Cistercian monks from Cisto, France, are shown here in their cellar at 1823 Prairie Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, preparing a rare liqueur known as Mountain Cloister Liqueur, which is to be exhibited, together with a reproduction of a cloister cellar, at the Wine, Liquor, and Beer World's Fair at the Hotel Sherman in Chicago, October 15th to 19th. The brew is made by a secret formula discovered by members of the order in 1620.

Photo is dated 1934.

Photo measures 8 x 10 inches.
