Plans to dredge Oak Creek Lagoon have become waterlogged by this summer's wet weather. Milwaukee County park system officials have had the lagoon in South Milwaukee drained so it can be dredged. The dredging is needed to remove silt so that ice can freeze more solidly for skaters in winter. Now all they are waiting for is about two weeks of dry weather so equipment can be used without getting stuck in the muddy lagoon bed.
