Description

A production line at Inland Diesel Inc. Butler, is in full swing remanufacturing Detroit Diesel Allison's line of 8.2-liter, medium-duty truck engines. About 50 units per month are being produced. From back to front are Jim Wortman, installing a crankshaft; Paul Osswald, installing cylinder heads and cams; Mark Baumann, working on tuneup and final assembly; and Mike Povolo, Inspecting the finished engine.
