1994 Press Photo Dan Valdez Johnson convicted of killing his lovers boyfriend

A woman has been sent to prison for life for arranging to have her boyfriend killed by her 16-year-old lover. Dawn Marie Dobbs, 27, won't be eligible for parole until 2035. Ray Thomas, 31, was shot five times in the back February 10 outside his home in the 2700 block of North 24th Street. Dan Valdez Johnson, who had become sexually involved with Dobbs, pleaded guilty to the shooting and awaits sentencing.
