A security guard took down a string that a group protesting aid to the contras in Nicaragua had wrapped around an entrance to the Federal Building. Federal authorities arrested 21 local members of the nationally organized Pledge of Resistance when they refused to leave the office of Senator Robert W Kasten Jr.(Republican-Wisconsin) in the building. They were demanding an explanation for the senator's June 6 vote in favor of $38 million in non-military aid to the contras fighting the Sandinista government. Demonstrations, Milwaukee
