Financial Merger- With the stroke of a ceremonial pen, the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company Wednesday formally completed the purchased almost 75% of Regis group Company, the holding company that operates Robert W. Baird and Company, the Milwaukee based investment banking and brokerage firm. Present were (left to right): James D. Ericson, Northwestern Mutual Life senior vice president-investments; Frances E. Ferguson, chairman of the Northwestern Mutual Life board; Brenton H. Rupplem chairman of the Baird board; and G. Fredrick Kasten Jr., president of the securities firm. Baird will continue to operate independently under the balance of the stock. The purchase price was not disclosed.
