Scott D. Jenkins appeared at a preliminary hearing Tuesday on a first-degree murder charge in the slaying of Gladys E. Redlich, 76. John. R. Brockel, a Wauwatosa detective, testified that Jenkins told him "he wanted to kill someone." Jenkins, 21, of 3764 North 99th Street, was ordered to stand trial on the charge. Relich, of Wauwatosa, was killed July 31 by a single shot from a .30-30-caliber rifle fitted with a scope. She had been walking her dog along the Menomonee River Parkway in Wauwatosa.
