1972 Press Photo Retired composer Toni Karas, 66, in his garden in Vienna

Vienna: Toni Karas, composer of The Third Man theme, retired recently as a full-time musician and devotes much of his time to his garden overlooking the Sievering valley--one of Vienna's wine growing centers. Karas, 66, whose haunting Harry Lime melody became a world hit, continues to practice the zither two or three hours each day and plays at the opening of every new Wienerwalkd eatery.
