Emily Aschenbrenner, 3, who has a profound hearing loss, was helped by Virginia Meisser, a teacher at the Milwaukee Hearing Society, 744 N. 4th St. Emily, who is learning to use the little hearing she does have and to read lips and speak, also uses sign language to communicate. The Milwaukee Hearing Society is a United Way of Greater Milwaukee agency. The United Way campaign runs through Thursday.
