1965 Press Photo Giant claw at Shasta California wood yard headed to paper mill

A giant claw, like a leviathan (unreadable) reached for a mouthful of logs at a Shasta, California wood yard. The large load of wood was part of 1,500,000 cords to be harvested this year by a papermaking firm, which also will plant 20 million new trees, replacing three for every one it cuts down.
